If people think that L.A is the epicentre of BMX in the United States then New York City is gravely overlooked. The city that never sleeps has a lot of character, its alive in every corner and filthy backstreet and it breeds some kind of craziness, people are loopy. For the second instalment of the Get In The Van Tour we took 3 of the pros and 2 of the flows into the rib cage of the U.S.A for 8 days and let them rip it apart.
The first 3 days we spent in Brooklyn, hitting spots near the hotel and spending late nights in the city. We took a trip down to Brands BMX store and had a little evening flat rail and pizza session. Those guys are doing a good job down there and keeping a good scene alive.
After NYC we drove down to Philly, it was good to get out of the city but every day we sort of missed it. However we had guys like Wiz and Van Homan on hand to show us around. Philly has spots alright, endless spots. It's crazy to think that in our whole time on the East Coast we never once got hounded by security, never once got asked to leave a spot and non of the guys sustained any kind of major injury. We got lucky.
Dillon Lloyd, Ed Zunda, Dan Foley, Dan Kruk and Jordan Godwin sweated it out big time and rode each and every day and not till the sun went down but till the sun came up. Massive thanks to Brands BMX, Wooden Wheels, and Planet Bike for the stops and the hospitality. Thanks to Wiz, Van, Mark, and anyone else who showed us spots on the road. #GETINTHEVANTOUR
